JICA’s Country Training in Bangkok

From July 16th (Tuesday) to July 19th (Friday), 2024, CEO Matoba, COO Ihara, and Product Manager Ted participated in the Third Country Training Program “Sustainable Water Management” held in Bangkok. We participated in “Practice of Innovation and Digital Technology”. This training was conducted by MWA (Metropolitan Water Authority of Thailand), JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and TICA (Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency) for water utilities in ASEAN countries.
We introduced our AI-based water pipe deterioration diagnosis service as an example of DX in water infrastructure, and discussed issues related to the use of data and cutting-edge technology in each country. During the session, we also introduced a demonstration experiment of the same service that we had conducted in Bangkok in the past, and the participants actively asked questions.

The challenges faced by water supply businesses vary from country to country, but as a global company, we will proactively work to solve water infrastructure challenges around the world, including in Asia. We will move forward with the belief that knowing the current situation in front of us will be the first step in understanding what we can do now.
