The 10th World Water Forum, one of the world’s largest international conferences on water, was held from Saturday, May 18th to Saturday, May 25th, 2024 in Bali, Indonesia. While various side events were being held, CEO Matoba made his first appearance on stage at the international workshop held on Tuesday the 21st. Facilitated by Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture (Toshiki Okada, Chief Digitalization Promotion Officer, Planning Division, Toyota City Water and Sewerage Bureau), which has a track record of initiatives that actively utilize cutting-edge technology such as artificial satellites, and our company’s AI-based diagnosis of water pipe deterioration. Tate announced a project related to water pipe maintenance and management, which was undertaken through public-private collaboration.

The workshop was attended by local government officials and companies mainly from Japan and Southeast Asia, and specific examples from Toyota City and our company attracted a lot of interest. The conference as a whole was attended by 64,000 people from 160 countries, making it an overwhelmingly large event for an international or academic conference on water.
